Summer in VT

Me on the Boat...Lake Champlain

Me and Piper

The Piper Cub, Piper the dogs namesake (and she knows it).

The Alpine Slide at Stowe...an exhilarating 2,300 foot ride down Spruce Peak! Its sort of like a water slide with no water. Its concrete and you have this slide type thing you sit on and you fly down the hill.

Stowe in the summer.

Ben and Jerry's...YUM YUM.

Sprint Tri

Last week John and I did a sprint Tri. He had never done one before. It was really fun. A flat course. A sprint Tri consists of a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. It is very doable for almost anyone. We didn't do a lick of training. I smoked John on the swim, but that was expected, its my strong suit. The girls started 5 minutes after the guys. I beat him out of the water by about 3 minutes. He then passed be at mile 5 on the bike. In the end he only beat me by 17 seconds!!! My final time was 1:34.24 and his was 1:34.07. Not bad for no training :)

Swim Across the Sound.

This weekend I am participating in St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound. 2008 will mark my sixth year participating in the swim across the sound. I have previously done three relays and two solo swims. I enjoy this fundraiser because I can do something that I enjoy to help others.

Sorry i havnt been so consistent with the posts lately. I have been swamped at work and then Johns son was in town visiting for the week. We did a bunch of fun things, like the Alpine Slide at Stowe and the Ben and Jerrys factory tour. I have tons of pictures to post, but right now I am in Cleveland, OH at the second stop of the Dew Tour. I am currently sitting in a trailer next to the vert ramp updating the website. Fun times.

Dew Tour is very interesting. Lots of WT and fake boobies. Then there are those peeps that are so into the tour. It is a very interesting crowd here at the Dew Tour.

I will post lots of pics when i get home.

4th of July

Wednesday night we started the weekend with drinks at Breakwaters. They are right on the lake with a great view.

Burlington Fireworks. 30,000 people attended this year. We weren't sure if they were going to happen because it rained all day. By 6pm the sun was coming out and we got the boat in the water and went over to watch the.

Friday we spent the day out on the boat on the lake. With Jenny and Denning and the dogs.

Saturday we got an early start...got on the lake around 8.30am to do some water skiing. It was gorgeous out all weekend.

Sunday was unbelievable too! I finally got up wake surfing. It is sooo much easier the wake boarding. Here is Piper being careful not to fall off the boat!
