My new favorite breakfast Item

Now everyone knows how much I love bagels. There really is no way that I can eliminate them from my diet. I have found the perfect compromise!

Thomas' Bagel Thins. They are amazing. I love the everything ones, I actually love them all, who am I kidding? And they are only 110 calories.

And yet another month goes by...

My life just is not as exciting as it was last year when I was not working...and I miss that!

April was busy busy busy. I was in CT two weekends in a row. Once for my friend Amy's wedding shower, where I saw all the girls and we had a great time. Then the following weekend we were back down for our engagement party. It was great to see everyone, family and friends. Samantha came home for the weekend and it was the first time I actually saw her since I have been engaged!
Johns parents came down with us, so it was fun to show them around the Milf. While we were down there we also went to the papery to look at and order the wedding invitations. I am so happy my sister was there or I would have been there forever. It was a little overwhelming! So many choices and combination that you could go with. I love what we picked out. Spent a little more $$ than I had hoped though, probably because I chose more priceless paper...cotton. But at least better for the environment :)

Speaking of Wedding stuff, we are only about 4 months out! Can you believe it? I can't at all. But I am super excited. I have been loving every second of the wedding planning. It is so much fun. All the big stuff is complete now and now we are onto to all of the fun little details.

Some other exciting news, my best friends lauren abd ben had their baby boy on Cinco de Mayo! Peter Grayson. Everyone is doing well and they are home already. He is such a cutie pie. I cannot wait to meet him.

Well, thats all for now. We are going to the dump to finally bring all of the bathroom demo there and then I have a baby shower to go to.

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful mommy's.

XOXO

Holy Smokes...

...its been over a month since I posted a blog! Time flies when you are working AND planning a wedding :)

Wedding plans are moving right along...
Venue is booked
Photographer is booked
Florist is booked
Dress is ordered
Next up is music...

Work is going. Its a job. I go through the motions.
Life otherwise is same ole shit.

Piper was sick a few weeks ago and had to spend the night at the puppy ER. She is better now. She had a mild case of pancreatitis. Poo thing was so sick...on an IV :(

Went home a few weeks ago to throw my BFF Lauren a baby shower. It was so fun. She looks great :)

Last weekend went to NJ for J's grandpa's 90th birthday. That was nice to see the whole family. We hadn't seen them since we got engaged.

Thats it for now..I will be better about this blog...promise!

Tootle-Loo for now.

Love these guys

I think the Olympic mascots are adorable. And I have loved watching the Olympics this year. Every night that's what we do. Are you watching the Olympics? What has been your favorite event so far?

It's that time of year...

...when I feel pale and gross. Which means its time to break out the self-tanner.
Most self-tanners are tricky, but this one is good. It is subtle and does not make you orange.

The Olympics

So far we have watched the short track speed skating and Womans moguls. I seem to really like watching the speed skating. I suppose it is a little like swimming. Doing many laps until you finish... Last Night USA got 2 and 3 in the 1500. I love watching the womans moguls too, USA got gold there last night.

GO USA

Piper loves Lowes

Last Saturday we spent almost 3 hours at Lowes getting stuff for the bathroom remodel.
Since I am working now, I hate leaving Pipes at home during the weekend. SO, Piper came with us to Lowes, where everyone loves her :)

Here she is enjoying the ride around the store.

Week 2

Well, I am week two into the new job. We are still in training. Today we had our sales pitch presentation. I got an "awesome"! Go Me!

Tomorrow we have our assessment, so I need to do a little studying tonight. I am not too worried about it though. If you listen you should know what you are doing. It s crazy though, they track how many 'clicks' it takes you to do an exercise.

We also had a team meeting today and they are hiring 20 more account managers!! They want 10 to start on March 1 and 10 on April 1st. It's crazy how fast this company is growing. I am pretty excited about it. Everyone is really cool too. Should be a good ride.

Thats about it on this end. Last weekend we worked on the bathroom. This weekend we are skiing and I really want to go see the new movie "Valentines Day". It looks so funny.

Hope all is well to whoever is reading this.

Oh yeah, and the wedding planning is going well. We have a venue, just have to sign the contract. Dress is ordered. Been talking to photographers and then need to find a florist. AND then its just details, details, details.

:)

Back to work....

I was up early today, 615!! Wowzers, can't remember the last time I got up that early, that didn't involve going to the airport.

The first day of work is always exciting. The hope is that everyday will be exciting.
Wish me luck!!

A Pet's 10 Commandments

Every once in a while I go looking to adopt another dog. A friend for Piper Girl.
I came across this on one of the websites. I think every dog owner should read this. It's sweet and makes you take a step back and really think about your dog and how much they really do love you. So give your little girl or guy and extra hug tonight :)

Sorry it's a little fuzzy.

HOLY COLD!!

I thought I would be nice and take Piper for a quick walk this morning. I knew it was going to be cold....but not this cold (and windy). She ran all the way home. We lasted about 5 minutes.

It is currently 1 degree outside and with the windchill it is -6

BBrrrrr........

Wedding Planning...

1. Still don't have a venue; therefore, still no date
2. Ordering my dress this weekend
3. Need to figure out what shoes I want to order before I order the dress. I have a pair of shoes that I ordered, that i LOVE, but they are 4 1/4"....not sure that will be a great idea. AND they were under $100. YIPPEEEEE.....

Here are the shoes....

Maybe I can find a pair of platform flip flops?!?!?

What season is it again....?

Today was bizarre...55 degrees and POURING outside. It felt like spring aka Mud Season here in Vermont. It was gross out all day. The rain melted all of the pretty snow, so now it is ugly outside. BUT, according to the weatherman it will again get cold as the week goes on.

MIA

So yet again I have been MIA. Been busy trying to figure out WHERE to have the reception.
We have looked at several places and none of them have jumped out at us. The good news is, I found a dress! I will be ordering that soon. So at least I will have something to wear when the big day is here.

I went shopping with my mom, J's mom and my good friend Laura this weekend. Afterwards we did a little wine tasting. Great way to spend a Saturday!

Other than that I have been getting ready to head back to work. Yup, you heard right, vacation is over. I accepted a job just before Christmas and the start date is February 1st. I am pretty excited to get back to work, although, now I have tons of things to do, so I feel like I could use some more time off...8 months off, if only I was engaged when I got laid off, I could have planned the entire thing!

Exciting News...

J and I are planning a wedding!!!!
He proposed on December 30th. He caught me totally off guard.
We are very excited. Trying to shoot for a September wedding.

...and the planning begins!

Creative Gift Wrapping

I had a few bottles of wine to wrap and as we all know, when you wrap wine, it's pretty obvious about what it is. I got a little creative. Here are some pictures...

Wrap the bottles in decorative tissue paper

Place bottles in Styrofoam piece and then place into box

Put top onto box, tie and bow, and you're done!
(I had to wait to post these pics so that the receiver of the wine didn't get any clues)
