Swim Across the Sound.

This weekend I am participating in St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound. 2008 will mark my sixth year participating in the swim across the sound. I have previously done three relays and two solo swims. I enjoy this fundraiser because I can do something that I enjoy to help others.

Sorry i havnt been so consistent with the posts lately. I have been swamped at work and then Johns son was in town visiting for the week. We did a bunch of fun things, like the Alpine Slide at Stowe and the Ben and Jerrys factory tour. I have tons of pictures to post, but right now I am in Cleveland, OH at the second stop of the Dew Tour. I am currently sitting in a trailer next to the vert ramp updating the website. Fun times.

Dew Tour is very interesting. Lots of WT and fake boobies. Then there are those peeps that are so into the tour. It is a very interesting crowd here at the Dew Tour.

I will post lots of pics when i get home.

4th of July

Wednesday night we started the weekend with drinks at Breakwaters. They are right on the lake with a great view.

Burlington Fireworks. 30,000 people attended this year. We weren't sure if they were going to happen because it rained all day. By 6pm the sun was coming out and we got the boat in the water and went over to watch the.

Friday we spent the day out on the boat on the lake. With Jenny and Denning and the dogs.

Saturday we got an early start...got on the lake around 8.30am to do some water skiing. It was gorgeous out all weekend.

Sunday was unbelievable too! I finally got up wake surfing. It is sooo much easier the wake boarding. Here is Piper being careful not to fall off the boat!

Piper ready to get off the boat.

4th of July Festivities

About 50,000 people will make there way to the Burlington waterfront tonight to watch the fireworks extravaganza (I didn't know there were that many people in VT)! I have only seen them once, believe it or not, this is only my 2nd summer in VT. I am super psyched for the fireworks...I heard they have added some new special effects this year! Hopefully the bad weather will move out of here soon and we will get a good night out on the boat for the celebration.

The early birds getting good seats for the fireworks.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend everyone.

A quick add on to the Nike+ post

You DO NOT need to have Nike's in order to use this. There is a little pouch type thing you can buy ($9.99) and you Velcro it to your fav sneaks. But you DO need an iPod Nano.

Nike +

So, in my efforts to run more, I have been running with a friend of mine at work about once a week. We are both in the same category, we don't love running, but we want too.

She bought a Nike+ a few weeks ago and I decided to go for it and buy one too. Its AWESOME. Here is the deal, you have to have an iPod Nano in order to use the Nike+. You hook the sensor onto your sneaker and then hook the transmitter into the iPod. You can do a run based on distance, calories, or time. You start running. It talks to you, tells you how far you have gone, how many calories burned, how fast you are running. Its makes it much more fun.

When you are done you hook your iPod to your computer, open iTunes and it syncs up with your account in www.nikeplus.com. Now you can track your running. How many miles you have run in the past 10 days, whatever. You can challenge people across the globe. its GENIUS!!
